JUMP/START internship program at J. Walter Thompson Melbourne

Today begins our new Intern program here at J. Walter Thompson Melbourne. We have two bright young things with us for 3 months. They will be working closely with the Creative Directors on live briefs for our clients.

Jack and Lochie are both graduates of RMIT here in Melbourne, they have been in contact with us over the past 6 months while we have planned this program and they are our guinea pigs.

It is a program introduced by our Global CCO Matt Eastwood (He's based in NY but came in to see us in Melbourne just last month). It is about nurturing talent into the industry in a way that most agencies only really do with account management, this program is to support and grow young creative talent.

Dolce & Gabbana - Marie Claire cover

This months edition of Marie Claire has an in-bilt TV commercial in the cover wrap by Dolce and Gabbana. They have placed a small screen within the pages and when you open the cover (like one of those annoying greeting cards with sound when you open them) the film plays - close it and open it again and it re-sets itself.

I believe this is a subscribers-only edition as my wife had to go and collect it at the post office and it was not in the usual plastic sleeve.
