Dolce & Gabbana - Marie Claire cover
This months edition of Marie Claire has an in-bilt TV commercial in the cover wrap by Dolce and Gabbana. They have placed a small screen within the pages and when you open the cover (like one of those annoying greeting cards with sound when you open them) the film plays - close it and open it again and it re-sets itself.
I believe this is a subscribers-only edition as my wife had to go and collect it at the post office and it was not in the usual plastic sleeve.

Absolute Radio
It's all live now so I can blog about it. For the Euro 2012 games we did some digital and print outdoor and online for Absolute Radio's Rock 'n' Roll football show. We had Ian Wright crowdsurfing over fans (he was in a safety harness). It was a brilliant shoot and loads of fun, with even some of us from Albion getting involved in the action.
The D6 is animated with stop-frame images of Ian moving across the screen, the same animation was used in the MPU's. The games are coded into the action script file to appear on the screen when they are playing with 'Listen live now' and 'Live commentary' when the games are not on.
The photographer was Gary Salter who also did the previous Faces for Radio campaign for Absolute.
Here are the results:
(I asked the woman, nicely, to move but she would not.)

New Audi ad
Saw this Audi Q3 in GQ on the weekend while my wife was in Coast looking at dresses for her sisters wedding (amazingly Coast have a 'bored husband/boyfriend chair' AND magazines!)
I am not sure who did the type for this, but if you know, let me know.
Update: Philippe Wilson tells me it was Alison Carmichael

Old VW ads

I was having a bit of a search on the internet and, though I am not that old, remembering when ad agencies did amazing long copy ads - I mean to be fair these are not the longest copy and probably not strictly 'long copy' but compared to our digital-i-want-to-know-everything-in-5-seconds-world you don't really see anything like these anymore. Enjoy!
